This week at Petraia we enjoyed the last guests of the 2013 season, and as our year draws to a close it’s time for our annual update. Just like every other year we were blessed with interesting and appreciative guests and again were fortunate to welcome so many of you back. Thanks to all of you there is wonderful word of mouth spreading about Petraia and we make so many new friends each year. In the kitchen I had the good fortune to work with the best team ever. We had a lot of fun together and the quality of food we produced on the farm and served to our guests was the best it’s ever been. It’s now that the real work on the farm begins, as our team turns their attention to the pruning of our 40,000 odd grape vines.
For those of you in Canada, we have sent off our first shipment of Petraia wine to the LCBO, our 2012 Primaia Bianco, and it will be available in selected Toronto restaurants and directly through our agent, Marcel Rethore, whom you can reach by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Marcel takes great care in bringing to Ontario a select group of organic and biodynamic wines from France and other European countries. Feel free to get in touch with him.
2013 marked our 13th year at Petraia and our 7th season welcoming guests. For 2014 we hope to have some big changes in the works. Our target date for reopening Petraia with a brand new face is the fall 2015. We will keep you updated as that time draws near and we are ready once again to welcome you back.
